Is Pilates a good way to lose weight?

I actually found an exercise that doesn’t bore me, Pilates! I am worried if it is a good enough exercise to help me lose about 50 lbs???

    its a great way especially if you aren’t doing anything right now…..learning how to eat right will also help

    It’s a great way to tone while you lose weight. Strengthening your muscle with pilates will help you burn more calories, but it doesn’t burn as many calories as aerobic exercise, so I would do something else besides, like walking to help with the weight loss. You need both aerobic and strengthening exercise, but I think you are on the right track.

    I do not think it is rigourous enough for you to lose 50 lbs.

    Try more intense exercises in combination with pilates and good dieting. For example, every night run or bike 5km, do light weights, swim, play sports, etc.
